The Emperor's Finest

I've been drawing a comic for quite a while (you can get it here), so I haven't been doing any separate drawings. So here's a big bendy stampy man!

Drawn after reading a lot of Horus Heresy and then playing a lot of Dawn of War, and based on this Terminator figure, which was 's second attempt at painting a miniature.

I decided to experiment with the colouring, and followed the instructions on painting Space Marines in the Games Workshop painting guide book. That's why the edges are highlighted in that way. It works better on a miniature than a drawing, but it does lend that distinctive Ultramarine look to the blues, I reckon.

Here's a work-in-progress version that I posted previously, where you can see the pencil, ink and flat colour stages.
